      Description

1.9 Normative References reads in part:

[TAR] IEEE Std 1003.1, 2004 Edition, Standard for Information Technology - Portable Operating System Interface (POSIX) http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/servlet/opac?punumber=9158

Except that the link is broken. IEEE returns a 404. On further exploration, http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/1309815/, says that this specification has been superseded by IEEE Std 1003.1-2008 (Revision of IEEE Std 1003.1-2004), which was replaced by: ISO/IEC/IEEE 9945:2009(E), which can be found at: http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/5393893/

OK, first question: Do you need the 2004 version for compatibility reasons?

I ask because the IEEE declare both the 2004 and 2008 versions as inactive. Do you really want inactive versions for your specification?

It's certainly possible for older or legacy work, but is that what you intend here?

If you resolve that question, the version you need, then supply the correct URL.

BTW, is it an access question? Membership, paid for a copy issue?
