This is the question whether the "Other" element, which supports signing, is in the right place. I believe our intent in our earlier discussion was to allow signing of the entire DE 2.0 message, but not signing of individual content objects; however, as you can see from one of the examples (DE_2.0_Example_Appendix_B2.xml) brought forward from the previous DE 1.0 and updated for the DE 2.0 in the zip upload, the previous use of "Other" and its location was to enable signing of individual content objects and you can see in that example that several signatures occur in one DE message, one for each content object. So as a compromise, Jeff made a change to the schema adding Other also as the last element of the EDXLDistribution wrapper and an example can be seen in DE_2.0_Example_Appendix_B2a.xml.
