The <draw:plugin> element represents an external application that processes a media-type (plugin).

Note1: The semantics of the <draw:plugin> element equal that of the <embed> element which is under discussion for successor versions of [HTML4].

Note2: This specification does not define how external applications interact with OpenDocument implementations.

Note3: Implementations should take care of security considerations than interacting with external applications referenced by a <draw:plugin> element.

      With some tweaks:

The <draw:plugin> element represents an external application that processes data with a specified media-type.

How OpenDocument implementations interact with external applications is not defined by this specification.

Note: Implementations are responsible for any and all security issues that may arise from interaction with an external application referenced by a <draw:plugin> element.
