Public Comment: ODF 1.2 Part 3 Section 3.8.1 manifest:algorithm-name

    • Type: Bug
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Priority: Blocker
    • ODF 1.2 CD 06
    • Affects Version/s: ODF 1.2 Part 3 CD 1
    • Component/s: None

The possibility to use other algorithms than Blowfish is new in ODF 1.2. It is a first step towards using other algorithm than Blowfish for encryption. The next step would be to recommend the implementation of other algorithms and to possibly deprecate the use of Blowfish. To provide a migration path and to minimize interoperability issues between ODF 1.2 and ODF 1.1, it appears to be reasonable to take these follow-up steps in a follow-up version of ODF.
