      Description

      There appears to be no tangible model offered for vendor extensions to data models, capabilities, requirements, or components. This is extremely important for a specification of this nature that will be implemented very differently by every service provider who adopts it.

      I have attached the presentation we made to the Openstack community two years ago with the rationale for introducing an extensibility model into the Openstack API's, which was ultimately accepted and implemented. We believe this is is a keystone concept that enables Openstack to be successful. I believe that the PaaS Management Standard should have the equivalent.
