The Atom Service Document (REST section) description says it is repository-specific how the service document is retrieved. Yet, the Repository resource is required to return the service document (for all or one repository). So it is not repository-specific how to retrieve the service document, since it is required by the spec. What is repository-specific is how one acquired the URI to the Repository resource.
