Define a latest state link as having the following characteristics:
      - a latest state link is a dependent object: it has a single parent object and should be automatically deleted by the repository when that parent is deleted.
      - the parent object is a folder object: a latest state link can only exist within a folder.
      - a latest state link specifies exactly one latest accessible state identifier.
      - when a latest state link is accessed, it is automatically dereferenced to a document object in exactly the same manner as the latest accessible state identifier.
      – a latest state link may be informally regarded as having an "immediate parent" consisting of the version series of the latest accessible state identifier (However, the document need not have a version series.)
