      The information model standards appear to both be amenable to automated conformance and validity testing (though this work is not in the respective TCs, the criteria for conformance are in WS-Calendar and EMIX working documents now).

      To support a variety of markets and to support the entire Smart Grid there are optional and mandatory elements.

      These do not appear to be barriers to automatable conformance.

      In the case of the interoperation and information model standard, Energy Interoperation, the information model and interactions patterns are also amenable to automated processing.
