Aggregation: Can we find a better way to represent nested expands?

The mandatory first parameter for the expand path can be followed by either a filter() or an expand() transformation, after wich an arbitrary number of expand() expressions can optionally be passed: GET ~/Categories?$apply=expand(Products,filter(startswith(Name,'Ski'),expand(Sales,filter(Amount gt 1000))) GET ~/Categories?$apply=expand(Products,expand(Sales)) This is very close to the new V4 $expand syntax: GET ~/Categories?$expand=Products($filter=startswith(Name,'Ski'),$expand=Sales($filter=Amount gt 1000)) and GET ~/Categories?$expand=Products($expand=Sales) Accepted: https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/51906/odata-meeting-64_on-20140109-minutes.html#odata-576
