The $expand system query option allows to use $apply as an option parameter. This is only meaningful when expanding collection-valued navigation properties. Single expanded entities are excluded. In order to avoid confusion, it should be clarified that $apply can be applied to collection of entities only. This also relates to resource paths addressing single entities.
