Insert a section before 3.11.7 Database, named "Criterion". Move from 3.11.9 Criteria " A reference to an empty cell is interpreted as the numeric value 0. A matching expression can be: ... " to the new section. Add details: "<>" matches non-empty cells. "=" matches empty cells. "<>X" matches any value except X, including empty cells. Note: "=0" does not match empty cells. In then 3.11.10 Criteria add a reference to then 3.11.7 Criterion: Expressions are matched as per 3.11.7 Criterion. For AVERAGEIF, AVERAGEIFS, COUNTIF, COUNTIFS, SUMIF and SUMIFS: Change the parameter from "Any C" to "Criterion C", respectively "Any C1" to "Criterion C1", ... Delete "The criteria C may be ..." paragraphs (already change-tracked, accept change). Change wording "criteria C", "criteria C1", ... to "Criterion C", "Criterion C1", ...
