This issue applies to the ODF 1.2 Part 3 CD 01 under public review. The defect applies to OpenDocument-v1.2-part3-cd1.pdf and OpenDocument-v1.2-part3-cd1.odt

Proposal:

Hide

1. Figure out what the proper official location for this portion of the specification will be.

2. Also include a copy in the specification itself, rather than force people to be able to access the repository archived copy in order to examing the specification (which might be in hard copy and where internet access is unavailable). Add whatever caveats are required with regard to what is the authoritative source.

The URL in Appendix B, http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.2/part3-cd01/OpenDocument-package-metadata-v1.2-cd1.owl, is not resolvable to a file. Instead an HTTP 404 error (file not found) occurs, with the following report:

"Not Found

"The requested URL /office/v1.2/part3-cd01/OpenDocument-package-metadata-v1.2-cd1.owl was not found on this server.

"Please try browsing from the top of the office files. "

The correct URL is apparently the following:
