      Description

We refer to ASCII characters but do not define that term.

      Do we mean:

      U+0020 - U+007F?

I ask because at 4.11.2 Simple Named Expressions, a comment says: "International characters are permitted in names, not just ASCII or Latin-1"

And "ASCII" has had a number of meanings over the years so it seems best to specify it.
