Should TREND function really only perform a simple regression?

      TREND as currently described in ODF1.2CD5 only performs a simple linear regression. This matches what Gnumeric's version currently does. Both Excel and OOo appear to permit a multiple linear regression.

      Do we really want to restrict TREND to a simple linear regression?
