style:use-window-font-color missing a definition of "window foreground color"

    • Hide

      The style:use-window-font-color attribute determines whether the font color is set automatically, depending on the background color of the text. With a dark background color, the font color is white; with a light background color, a dark font color is used. The definition of when a background color is dark or light and the choice of the font color for a light background color are implementation-defined.

      The defined values for the style:use-window-font-color attribute are:

      • false: the font color is specified by the fo:color attribute.
      • true: the font color depends on the text background color and is automatically set by the consumer. A fo:color attribute is ignored in this case.

      Note: In many applications, the user can choose between a "dark mode" and a "light mode". The "dark mode" affects not only toolbars, but also the document background. The value true of the attribute style:use-window-font-color allows applications to automatically adjust the font color so that the text is easy to read in any mode.

      The style:use-window-font-color attribute specifies whether the window foreground color should be used...

      </quote>

      ...but what is that color?

      <quote>

      The determination of light or dark color is implementation-defined.

      </quote>

      ... then why not the same for the color itself? or maybe implementation-dependent?
