This issue proposes a new page layout property "style:margin-gutter".
In case a document is bound, a part of the space between page edge and text content area is needed for binding and might not be visible. Authors need to know how wide this part is for to avoid that content is cut or invisible. Especially in case of document templates and documents edited by several people, it is important that the document contains the information about the width of the part intended for binding.
The proposed attribute "margin-gutter" contains this width. It does not change the page margin, but contains only the distance information. Applications can then provide a UI so that authors know the actual usable page area.

The proposed attribute "margin-gutter" contains this width. So the total distance from page edge to start of the text content area is "margin-gutter" + "page margin" + "page border" + "page padding". |

h3. 19.511 style:page-usage
The {{style:page-usage}} attribute specifies the type of pages that a master page should generate. The defined values for the {{style:page-usage}} attribute are: * {{all}}: if there are no {{<style:header-left>}} or {{<style:footer-left>}} elements, the header and footer content is the same for left and right pages. * {{left}}: {{<style:header-right>}} and {{<style:footer-right>}} elements are ignored. * {{mirrored}}: if there are no {{<style:header-left>}} or {{<style:footer-left>}} elements, the header and footer content is the same for left and right pages. * {{right}}: {{<style:header-left>}} and {{<style:footer-left>}} elements are ignored. The default value for this attribute is {{all}}. The {{style:page-usage}} 19.511 attribute determines together with the {{style:writing-mode}} 20.408.3 attribute the “binding edge” for documents. Table 16 specifies, which physical edge of a page is used as “binding edge”. For writing-mode values {{rl-tb}}, {{tb-rl}}, {{rl}}, and {{tb}} it is specified in column RTL and for all other writing-mode values in column LTR. _*Editorial note:* see attached image showing continuation illustration and Table 16._ |

The distance is measured from binding edge towards text content area. The default value for this attribute is {{0}}. |
