Abstract: This document defines version 2.0 of the XML Localisation
Interchange
File Format (XLIFF). The purpose of this vocabulary is to store localizable
data
and carry it from one step of the localization process to the other, while
allowing interoperability between and among tools.
TC Description: Advancing a multi-lingual data exchange standard for
localisation. XLIFF TC currently works on the major new version of the XLIFF
standard, XLIFF 2.0 that supersedes XLIFF 1.2 produced by the same TC. The
2.0
public review release contains a core specification along with 8 modules with
advanced data and metadata exchange functionality in various areas such as
translation candidates, size restrictions, formatting preview etc.
