      Previous Public Review Announcement:
      https://www.oasis-open.org/news/announcements/30-day-public-review-for-ws-calendar-platform-independent-model-pim-v1-0
Abstract: The Platform Independent Model is an abstract model that will be
      used
as the basis for determining conformance of additional models and
      communications
with WS-Calendar and with Xcal, which is based on IETF RFCs. This is a
      Platform
Independent Model following the Object Management Group's Model-Driven
Architecture. The Platform Dependent Model that this specification abstracts
from is the full model for WS-Calendar as expressed in XML (xCal).
      TC Description:
The OASIS WS-Calendar TC works to adapt existing calendaring standards (used
      in
human interactions) for Web services. WS-Calendar is designed for use inside
other specifications and standards, bringing a common scheduling and
      performance
allignment to service coordination, including between domains.

The Committee bases its initial work on the iCalendar (IETF RFC 5545) XML
      serialization specification from CalConnect.

      Notes:
      Zip file containing all artifacts
      https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/document.php?document_id=52978&wg_abbrev=ws-calendar
      PDF is Authoritative
      HTML, DOCx incldued
XML (XMI, i.e., UML in XML) is authoritative
EAP file is informative / illustrative

Document has been completely reorganized since PR01 a year ago, so a
      diff-marked
document is not really useful. The TC directs that the entire document is up
      for
      review.

The semi-annual F2F of the Calendar and Scheduling consortium is being on May
19th. It is desirable for this PR to begin on or before that date.
