Abstract: The Committee Note provides an impact assessment of the new
opportunities becoming available through the development of the Internet of
Things (IoT) on Transformational Government programs and the delivery of
services by the public sector. It seeks to identify the issues that need to
be
addressed and makes recommendations on how best to tackle these and how the
Transformational Government Framework (TGF) v2.0 can be utilized to ensure
the
optimum advantage is taken of these new opportunities.
TC Description :
The Transformational Government TC advances an overall framework for
using information technology to improve the delivery of public
services. Unlike traditional e-Government strategies of the past,
Transformational Government begins with citizen engagement to assure
greater use and return on investment. The work of the TC includes
defining the framework, identifying use cases, and providing adoption
guidance for governments around the world, regardless of their history
in implementing eGov.
