Abstract: This document describes a method to provide the ability to retry
unsafe (i.e. POST, PUT, PATCH, DELETE) requests without incurring unintended
side-effects. This specification can be applied to any HTTP based protocol.
TC Description :
The OASIS OData TC works to simplify the querying and sharing of data across
disparate applications and multiple stakeholders for re-use in the
enterprise,
Cloud, and mobile devices.
One important building-block is achieving "at-most-once processing" for
REST-based services. This can then be combined with client-side retry
("at-least-once transmission") to achieve "exactly-once processing"
end-to-end.
