           Description*

OASIS UBL TC: A public GitHub repository for the harvesting of
publicly-available code lists and transforming them to OASIS
genericode for use in UBL distributions.

           Purpose statement:*

Members of the OASIS Universal Business Language (UBL) TC use this TC
      GitHub repository ( https://github.com/oasis-tcs/ubl-codelists ) as
part of the TC's chartered work in the development of the UBL
Standard. The UBL distribution includes a suite of example code
lists, obtained from international sources maintained by code list
custodians. This repository is used periodically to harvest the
external sources of code lists and transform their content into the
OASIS Standard genericode format for use in the UBL distribution. The
resulting files are dropped into the UBL repository for use in
      creating the UBL distribution.

           Open Source license*

      Kenneth Bengtsson https://github.com/bdxhub Individual Member
Kees Duvekot https://github.com/kduvekot RFS Holland Holding B.V.
      G. Ken Holman https://github.com/gkholman Crane Softwrights Ltd.

           Approval:*

      https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/ubl/202302/msg00003.html
      >The TC identifies a need for a new repository for the maintenance
      >and tooling related to code lists used in the UBL distribution.
      >Agreed that Ken will contact TC Admin to have a new repository
      >created. Kees and Kenneth will be maintainers as well.

           Notes:

This is another example of a Unix-based process run for a decade on
Ken's laptop being migrated to GitHub which, itself, runs Unix. This
allows the committee to configure and harvest code lists without my
help when it decides a refresh of the UBL distribution example code
      lists is necessary.
