Abstract:
  This Committee Note describes how versioning and backwards compatibility are handled within the OASIS Universal Business Language (UBL). It documents the principles, conventions, and practical considerations applied when evolving the UBL Semantic Library, document models, and associated artefacts across major and minor releases. This document is informational in nature and is intended to support implementers, editors, and other stakeholders in understanding how UBL versions relate to one another and how compatibility considerations are addressed throughout the lifecycle of the specification.
