Change proposal discussion: The current working assumption is that [TOSCA-Simple-Profile-NFV-v1.0] define both VNFD and NSD. The ToC structure may change once a discussion on the timeline of [TOSCA-Simple-Profile-NFV-v1.0], and future release the specification. Because, in the future, the NSD and VNFD may have different timeline, requirements and the consumer of the specification. This proposal recommending to restructure the document, when some content [TOSCA-Simple-Profile-NFV-v1.0] csd03 are cut and pasted, or modify, and adding new content too.
      1. A section describing ETSI NFV architecture & concept for both VNFD (IFA011) and NSD (IFA014). And, subsection describing some of the basic terminologies, such as VDU, scaling info and aspect, deployment flavor, NSD, etc.
      2. A section describing TOSCA modeling principles and data model for NFV, where the type, properties, capabilities, requirements, and relationships may/should/shall be used based on [TOSCA-1.0] and [TOSCA-Simple-Profile-YAML V1.0], or new type based on ETSI NFV requirements, etc.
      3. Examples
      4. A section describing template for NSD, where the definition of Nsd, Vnffgd, Vld, Pnfd, Vnfd, Sapd, DeploymentFlavour are defined in details.
      5. A section describing template for VNFD, where the definitions of Vnfd, Vdu, VduCpd, VirtualComputeDescriptor, VirtualStorageDesciptor, VnfExternalCpd, VnfVld, VnfDeploymentFlauvor, etc. are defined in details.
      6. Appendix.

      Description

      Current state of [TOSCA-Simple-Profile-NFV-v1.0] csd03:
      1. This version is based on ETSI MAN01 document. Based on the draft gap study shows that there are many VNFD and NSD information elements and concepts are missing from this documents. Even though, some IEs from MANO01 may share same name and attributes but they may have different meaning and concept with respect to IFA011 and IFA014.
      2. [TOSCA-1.0] and [TOSCA-Simple-Profile-YAML V1.0] provide a great framework and tools for modelling NFV profile, however it is was not clear from version csd03 of how the framework shall be applied.
      3. csd03 does have some contents that are applicable [TOSCA-Simple-Profile-NFV-v1.0], where the content can be either cut & paste or modify.
