All - Does the standard assuming any type of industry? Specification of interoperability for the energy industry is lacking. Certain assumptions will leave the interoperability more difficult and costly, rather than generic.

      The essence of the smart grid and of distributed energy is to engage more participants, and more business processes than solely those currently in energy markets. If thsi specification is no better, but no worse, than other specifications for energy, and it is it commonly understood by other domains, such as finance, enterprise, and building systems, then it meets the goals of this comittee as laid out in the Charter.

      Specific missing funtions would be willingly considered.
