      Description

This section is a reminder of the difficulties in utilizing a highly improved low criticality calendaring system at a utility / wholesale level. WS calendar, being based on icalendar which is used to schedule meetings, is being proposed for a much more critical utilization. When a scheduled meeting is missed party A may be annoyed that party B didn't meet his commitments. When a scheduled power delivery is missed or improperly delivered, the regional interconnection could fail. Under such circumstances all customers loose power, resulting in massive repair costs and a populace that is signifigantly impacted. The utilization of such a calendaring method which does not address critical infrastructure and security concerns would not contribute to the operation of a safe reliable electric system.
